Botox (Botulinium Toxin)

Outpatient procedure, local anesthesia.

It is a non-surgical injection that temporarily (4 to 6 months) reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Applying it 2 to 3 times a year may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the treated area.
